Even i myself  buy 150-200 stacks of elementium & pyrite ore from a few miners with which i have made a deal & they farm for me on daily basis so the point is you can make a decent amount of gold from minning. I recommend these routes if you want to farm  volatiles & Elementium & pyrite Ores The twilight highlands route is always filled with veins & they respawn after a short time so you can farm here for as much as you want.

If Twilight Highlands is too crowded then take this route you wont get much volatiles & ores but then again it's a alternate route & dont worry you can still farm a decent amount of Ores & volatiles here if you are farming alone.
